And it has a very nice dynamic arpeggiator. However, Syntronik is more useful if you like to create layers and splits, with up to 4 instruments. But some of the sounds are worth the wait! Just takes a bit more patience to find them, and recommend setting them as favorites! YMMV on load times, based on your computer and drive speed. In comparison, every time you select a preset in Syntronik, you then will need to load it and wait for the samples to load. And your MiniLab MK2 should have built-in control maps for AL, so you are ready to play! And IMO the preset browser is more advanced in Analog Lab. Simply because modeled synths have nearly instantaneous preset load times, so are much easier to audition sounds with. So as a preset machine, I would lean towards Analog Lab. I would consider them both to be preset machines, and both have great sounds! But both are limited to the oscillators designed into the presets. I have the full Analog Lab V and the full Syntronik.

When it comes to ports, both laptops sport two USB Type-A ports, one USB Type-C port, one Thunderbolt 4 port, an HDMI 2.0b port, an RJ45 port, a headphone jack, and a Kensington lock slot. Like the Dash, their chiclet keyboards are backlit and feature a 1.7-millimeter travel distance. The F15 can be configured with up to a 15.6-inch, 1080p, 300Hz panel, while the F17 only has access to the 17.3-inch, 1080p, 144Hz model. That being said, you can adjust PWM to run in DC mode, but it’s not recommended and is a downgrade in most cases. The extra pin in PWM fans makes them more power-efficient, giving the fan better performance. DC fans have a three-pin connector instead of a four-pin. Image via AmazonĭC fans are almost identical to PWM fans with one exception. To spot a PWM fan, look for a connector that is small, four-pinned, rectangular in shape, and plugs directly into the motherboard. On the other hand, you can manually adjust the two remaining fan types, which are DC and PWM. Unfortunately, because these fans bypass the motherboard, Molex fans are impossible to adjust manually. Molex fans are characterized by their flat four-pin connectors and their direct connection to the power supply. There are three types of fans: Molex, DC, and PWM. The easiest way to identify a fan is to check the connector. CPU fans will always be adjustable, but other fans in your PC may not be so flexible. Fan typesīefore making any adjustments, you’ll need to check what type of fans you have. This guide covers how to manually adjust your CPU fan as well as any other case fans. Manually adjusting your fan speed is also an essential step in overclocking a CPU. Luckily, you can adjust your fan speeds manually using a few different methods. This is often due to the automatic fan controller not functioning correctly. One of the main reasons a PC overheats is internal fans not operating at required speeds.
